In 2012, Super Storm Sandy devastated the eastern seaboard.  In February 2017, a snow and ice storm caused widespread power and service outages in the Detroit area. In that same month, a computer problem at a major Internet provider that started in Boston spread to most of its control centers causing voice and data service outages for businesses across the country.  On a more local level, cable cuts and other outages cause disruptions to data and/or voice services. Fast forward to August 2017 when Hurricanes Harvey and Irma created flooding and major service disruptions in the southern USA and the Caribbean.

It doesn’t take a natural disaster to create havoc. And today, it’s not a matter of if it happens…it’s when it happens.
